Tuition and Fees

Often, we’re asked how we offer the quality education that we do with comparatively low tuition.  The Ambrose School is a private, independent, non-profit ministry depending on contributions and tuition to fund its operations.  The uncommon, and often sacrificial commitment of our staff and supporters to the ideals of classical Christian education makes our low cost structure and the uncommon quality of our program possible.   We focus our resources on our core mission, not attempting to serve everyone.  “Focused resources” mean that families who want a challenging, Christian-based education in the classical tradition of excellence choose our school and our goal is to serve those families with excellence.  We do not attempt to serve everyone.  This allows us to be efficient with our dollars.

Unlike charter, public, or magnet schools, we get no public money.  We also refuse money from government programs offered to private schools with strings attached.  This allows us to be truly “free.”  We are free to discuss all truth, regardless of its Christian or political nature.  This is vitally important in a classical Christian school where truth is centered on Christ.  We are also free from state ISAT testing and staff certification– functions that add bureaucracy to schools without adding quality.  In fact, we recruit more engaging teachers who contagiously love learning because of our independence.

This said, private education is a financial commitment.  Our stated goal is to remain affordable for families.  We offer significant discounts for multiple children.  We also limit our fees as much as possible to those things which truly require separated funding.  When comparing tuition, keep in mind that our tuition includes many of the fees that other schools charge.

As you consider a school, please consider value.  Education is one of the most formative parts of your child’s life.  An investment made when they are young will help shape who they become.  We realize you have many educational options, and we believe that the value you receive at The Ambrose School far outweighs the financial cost and time commitment.
