Events and Performances
If you have not had the opportunity to join us for one of our many performances, events, or classroom activities, we invite you to see highlights here. We strive to make everything we do, in the classroom or out, purposeful. Many of these performances serve an important role in our goals for eloquence (rhetoric). They also train in language and develop student’s knowledge and appreciation of art and history. Our goal is to do all that we do to the glory of God alone ( Soli Deo Gloria). Doing anything unto the Lord calls for excellence, which we attempt in every performance, event, and in the classroom.
5th Grade Shakespeare Play
Since 2004, every 5th grade class has performed a 1 hour Shakespeare play. These plays are shortened, but retain the language of Shakespeare. Students study many Shakespeare plays over the course of the 5th grade, and throughout the upper school. This introduction to Shakespeare, the way he intended it to be, through performance, is key to children appreciating his work.
